even better than I expected!

Strathwood Basics Bistro Set Gray

Strathwood Basics Bistro Set Gray

Frankly, when the box arrived, my wife reminded me to set aside enough time for all the assembly.
Immediately, I had thoughts of all those nuts and bolts, and perhaps holes drilled in the wrong locations--all of this accompanied by indecipherable "foreign-made" directions.

Wow, was I ever pleasantly surprised! Both chairs and the table came fully-assembled. The hardest part was the five minutes required to get it out of the very protective packaging. All arrived in perfect condition.

Now, about this little bistro set: It's an attractive little bistro set, and well-constructed for its size.
I was delighted to find that both chairs and the table fold up, for easy transportation should you want to take it along on an outing. It wouldn't take up much space in a car, as all of it folds flat and compact.

Good thought went into the design. While foldable, the table has secure latches that will hold it stable and avoid unwanted folding or telescoping. True, the chairs do not have armrests, but this is a bistro set--it shouldn't have armrests!

The metal is solidly-welded, and painted with a powder gray paint that appears good-looking and unlikely to chip.
The slats that make up the surface of the chairs and the table are a strong polymer that looks stylish and certainly appears to me far more durable than had they been made of wood.

This is one of those happy instances where the product turned out even better than I expected!

  2. No assembly required.
Very light. So you might not want to leave it out on windy days (I'd fold it up and lean on a wall)
    Everything folds flat.
I had my 380 lb friend sit on the chair with no bad effects (they look like that can't take it but are pretty strong).
