Great chair not our first but will be our last

Evenflo Modern High Chair Black

Evenflo Modern High Chair Black

This is almost perfect. I'll start with the one con:

Legs are a very awkward shape and there are wheels only in the front which presents a wheeling problem, and also doesn't allow for you to fold it and keep it stored nicely against the wall. Not a huge problem, just makes moving it around a little awkward.

Everything else is great.
Easy to put together
Looks good, not a lot of eye trash
There is no cloth and the straps are super easy to remove for washing
The pad is easy to remove
The thing is a breeze to clean

And the most important thing for me was the ability to recline. My baby has special needs and cannot sit up but was getting too big for my lap. The recline is the perfect angle to keep him up in his chair without slouching to one side or the other.

For $90, this is definitely worth it.

  2. I had been looking for a high chair that specifically didn't have a big padded fabric chair cover. I wanted something that i could simply wipe down instead of having to remove and wash. I was having a hard time finding a chair that fit that requirement and was under $125, until i came across the evenflo modern. Given the reviews and the fact that the chair was on sale for under $90 i decided to give it a shot. It arrived 2 days ago and i couldn't be happier, I love how light weight yet sturdy it is. I read some reviews that said they felt it was a bit cheap feeling. but i think given what i paid for it, it doesn't seem cheap at all. I love how it's easy to clean and really love how easy the tray comes on and off. I would totally recommend this to everyone looking for a simple easy to clean affordable chair! The slightly negative feedback i can give is that i wish it rolled around a bit easier.

  3. I was searching for several weeks for a high chair that would fold and was modern looking. Well this one is it. It took me less than 5 mins to put together out of the box. I really love the color and design, as the title says, its modern. The black is like a faux leather look (not cushioned though), but that doesnt bother me. The seat is height adjustable which is a plus. I like that it folds, however, if you dont put something to hold it upright against the wall, the wheels have no locks so it just slides down so thats the biggest downside but not a deterrent given the look and price. Tray has a double layer, and requires only one hand to take on and off. I didnt need a hgih chair with those fancy toys so if thats what you are looking for then dont get this. I wanted something to blend with my furniture and black leather dining chairs. Plus the price is great!

  4. FTM here and I received this as a gift from my parents. They put it together for us (which means it is easy to assemble!!), and they said they just played with it forever because it was so cool! First of all, it looks awesome. Very sleek, simple and modern and looks expensive! Very sturdy and of high quality. You can also set the height to any setting you want. It goes so low that you can even sit on the floor and feed your little one if you are so inclined. It also has a pad in it that is not too soft so food won't get stuck in it which I've heard from other moms is a HUGE pain with the high chairs they have. The other great feature is that the tray comes off independently from the bar that goes in the middle of babies legs, so this prevents them from falling out of the chair by accident when you take the tray off. It also has wheels and is really very light so it is easy to maneuver around the house. The price is also awesome! Love this chair, couldn't say enough great things about it.

  5. I have to say this is a great chair, the review saying it is wobbly seems odd to me. It is very stable, we have a more portable chair and maybe that one seems wobbly but not this one. We do not fold ours up we just move form table to corner and back. There is one feature that matters on a high chair how easy is it to clean. Lets face it a toddler eating is like an explosion and clean up can take longer than the meal. This chair has the simple solid seat liner. All of the chairs with the puffy 1000 crack and crevice liners will drive you nuts over time, this one cleans up fast and easy. The tray is a nice size and the insert is great until they learn to remove it then great again when they learn they are not to remove it. In between just don' t use it. We were seriously looking at the very expensive chairs with similar seats and chose this one shortly after it came out and have been more than happy we did.

  6. I've had this high chair for a week now and have no complaints. It was a bit challenging to put together but once you figure it out, it snaps together in no time. It looks great and has a very sleek, modern design. The tray can be easily removed with one hand and is adjustable as is the seat. I love that there is a design on the tray and that it has an insert that can easily be removed and washed. I'm loving everything about this chair so far, I would definitely recommend it.
